Promoting Community Development
Our operations provide economic opportunities for the communities in which we operate by creating employment opportunities during construction and development. We have policies in place to ensure positive community relations, including holding stakeholder forum and town hall meetings before and after construction. The compensation for any temporary inconveniences or economic losses incurred by the community during construction is independently assessed and paid out. We also carry out Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities as part of our community engagement efforts.
We remain committed to environmental sustainability and ensuring that our operations do not have any negative social impact on host communities and their members. All our projects are required to go through an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process, which includes an assessment of social impact on the host communities. These assessments are monitored by federal and state authorities and the results are public records, as required by law. A stakeholder
mapping exercise is conducted during the feasibility stage to identify relevant stakeholders and engagement is implemented accordingly.
